For the 2022 season, Ezekiel Elliott is in the Riddell Axiom. Zeke is one of the few players to make the switch into the latest helmet from Riddell.
The Riddell Axiom is the latest and greatest from the most popular helmet manufacturer in the game, Riddell. The Axiom is the official successor to the Riddell Speedflex and carries over a lot of the technology. The new lid has Riddell’s “surround flex system” which is the panels on the front, side and back of the shell. These panels are designed to flex upon impact to help absorb the impact of the hit. These helmets are also custom fit to each players’ head. Before wearing the Axiom, players use Riddell’s VerifyT app to get a 3D scan of their head. From there, Riddell creates custom inner pads which provides a totally custom, perfect fit for the player. Lastly, these helmets come with a built in visor for added eye protection and wide, clear field of vision. Zeke has opted to wear their dark 20% tint option on his helmet.
These are a brand new helmet so they’re currently only available if you talk with your local Riddell rep and begin the custom fitting process. Check out Riddell’s website for more information.
